Wicked Is One Wicked Musical

Why are Broadway musicals so popular? The show makes frequent references to the beloved Frank Baum book, and is written from the perspective of the Wicked Witch of the West whilst Dorothy’s journey through the Land of Oz.

The audience wakes up to citizens of Oz celebrating the death of the Wicked Witch of the West. During that time Glinda, the Good Witch of the South appears to explain, through a series of flashbacks, why the green skinned witch whose name is Elphaba melted and their history together at Shiz University.

The characters of both the Wicked Witch of the West and Good Witch of the North have been portrayed superbly by Alli Mauzey and Jackie Burns who are the highlight of the show. The enchanting music, dynamic sets and costumes contribute heavily to the overall feel of the musical which shouldn’t be missed by anyone.
